Biden sending 1,500 troops to southern border

The Biden administration is sening 15-hundred troops to the U.S.-Mexico border. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted next week, thousands more migrants are expected to try and cross the southern border. Anticipating that surge, 15-hundred troops are being deployed. The White House says the military personnel will not do enforcement work. President Biden’s actions follow similar moves by then-President Trump, policies that Mr. Biden frequently criticized. The White House tried to downplay the troops decision by describing it as a “common practice.”
