Biden promotes pandemic progress over holiday weekend

President Biden is using the 4th of July holiday to celebrate freedom from the coronavirus pandemic.

The president fell short of his goal of having 70 percent of adults vaccinated by July 4th. But that isn’t stopping the White House from claiming success.

Press Secretary Jen Psaki says the government’s vaccination push will continue, especially for adults under the age of 27 who have been slow to get their shots.
