Biden not enthusiastic about Pelosi’s planned trip to Taiwan

President Biden doesn’t sound too pleased about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s plan to visit Taiwan. Asked about Pelosi’s reported plans to visit Taiwan in the coming weeks, the president offered this luke-warm assessment. He stopped short, however, of suggesting that Pelosi not travel. Earlier this week, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said such a visit to Taiwan would “severely undermine China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and that it would take “resolute and strong measures.”
