VERBATIM: A new poll from the Pew Research Center finds that most moms and dads are NOT necessarily trying to pass their beliefs about God down to their kids. Just 35% of respondents say it is important to them that their children share their religious beliefs. In fact, White Evangelical Protestants are the only group in which a majority of parents — 70% — say it’s very important that their kids grow up to have the same religious faith as mom and dad.
