VERBATIM: A group of students seeking to be ordained by the denomination has a problem with one of the questions on a test they were required to take. It asked them to interpret the events of Judges, chapter 19, which tells the story of the rape and murder of one Levite’s concubine. The students are demanding that the question be removed, because it might be “triggering” to victims of sexual abuse. They write “Our examinations must not cause fear and harm.” Michael Harrington, SRN News.
